Tax Supervisor

We are seeking a Tax Supervisor, an experienced CPA with expertise in individual and business taxation as well as experience in client management. The scope of responsibilities aligns with advancement readiness, which makes this position best suited for those interested in the partner track. We offer some scheduling flexibility and remote work option, with at least part-time hours on-site in Bellevue preferred.


The Tax Supervisor has the following responsibilities:

  • Reviewing forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120S and 1120 returns, and writing feedback to preparers

  • Preparing complex individual and entity returns

  • Providing one-on-one training and assistance to staff and senior accountants as assigned

  • Managing a client base as assigned, including data intake, project oversight, work delegation, billing, and other related tasks

  • Onboarding new clients as assigned

  • Planning and managing larger engagements


Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Holds a current Certified Public Accountant license

  • 5+ years of recent experience in public accounting with a focus on tax

  • Is proficient in preparing and reviewing complex returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120), plus providing tax estimates, consulting, and planning for those clients

  • Articulates a history of client management success, including a high comfort level of communicating with clients in a competent, concise, timely, and personalized manner

  • Is proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Commits to working full-time with required overtime during busy seasons

  • Exhibits meticulous attention to details and a strong bias for follow-through

  • Demonstrates confidence and familiarity in delegating to and following up with a team of staff and senior accountants

  • Is skilled and enthusiastic in coaching staff on essential software and more advanced tax concepts


Capabilities and experience in the following areas are a plus:

  • CCH Axcess and/or CCH ProFx Engagement (2+ years of full-time use)

  • Estate and trust tax return preparation and consulting

  • Preparation and review of financial statements (GAAP a plus)

  • Review of State and Local tax returns

  • Review of Payroll tax returns

  • International taxation matters
